The best thing about your story is the huge variety of photos you have to share that include your grandfather. It made me a little sad, because I realize I have so few photos of my grandparents. I would like to know more about your grandfather and the way he impacted your life. I think you should consider adding more text, and possibly even switching from text to voice-over. Another good thing about your story is that although you do not use a lot of text, you are able to communicate a lot about your subject through the pictures and music, and the order in which the pictures appear.
The best thing about your story was how you took me with you on your travels with your grandfather. From the mountains to a cruise how great to be able to do so much and share so much with your grandfather. He was a pretty amazing guy. I agree with Jessica on maybe adding some text with your voice. I like the music keep the music it was perfect for your story.
I watched both your rough draft and your final version, and I am very impressed with the changes you made. The pacing of photos seemed a little more controlled in the final version, but the biggest change is how your photos of your grandfather led in to your incredibly touching letter to him. The only thing I might have done different myself is read the introduction to the video, however I believe that all of my critiques were corrected in the final version. The music is great, the photos follow a wonderful sequence, and it is filled with personal touch and feeling. Great job, Laura!
